This South Asian coffee has a remarkable lineage. Over a hundred years ago, seeds from the famous Jamaican Blue Mountain coffee were planted in Papua New Guinea. Since it lies in the “Coffee Belt” or “Ring of Fire” - an area stretching around the equator with perfect coffee growing conditions - this was a wise decision. Coffee has grown to be a major industry in Papua New Guinea. High altitudes offer more sunlight and canopy shade; warm, humid climates and nutrient rich soils infuse unique flavors into this coffee.

Like the beans our HEADHUNTER evolves from, this coffee is well-balanced and full-bodied. Mild and mellow when lightly roasted, this coffee exhibits a broad range of flavors. Low notes include hints of earthy nuttiness, chocolate, and warm caramel; mid-range offers hints of mulberry, while upper notes are floral with a fruity mango finish. HEADHUNTER is medium acidity, giving it a bright, clean taste, with a fruity and floral aroma reminiscent of jasmine.
